So I missed these when The Atlantic posted their !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , but they’ve now posted a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , both with some amazing pictures of the ongoing (or possibly already burst) dockless bike- share bubble. The shee r magnitude is impressive, the waste is also staggering.

Not going to lie.
Some of these photos are really beautiful ... in a kind of post-apocalypse way at least. The fact that they are all colored makes for some interesting patterns.

I liked this one a lot:
Makes me think of crystal clear water over shallow sand.
In general, the bright colors do create some very stunning photographs.

Wow, makes me worry if they would be at risk of something similar happening with shared cars.

That one strikes me as a field of wildflowers.

Looks like Seattle on any random weekday, except we also have streets turned to parking lots full of cars.

why not send them to Africa?

Would be nice to have them go somewhere where they’d be used, but sending them to Africa (or even as close as SE Asia) would cost money, while selling them as scrap makes some money. They’d need government financing or something.
